Scientists build Mini-Livers to crack code of devastating bile duct disease
NCT ID NCT06865924
Summary
This study aims to understand the genetic factors behind a rare and serious liver disease called primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC). Researchers will create advanced 3D cell models, called 'assemblyloids,' from 80 participants to see how specific gene changes might lead to the disease. The goal is to build better research tools to study PSC, not to test a new treatment for participants.
