First look: how a liver drug behaves in sick vs. healthy people
NCT ID NCT03664544
Summary
This early-stage study aimed to understand how a drug called MCI-186 is processed by the body in people with severe liver disease. Researchers compared 12 participants—some with severe liver impairment and some with healthy liver function—after they received a single dose. The main goal was to measure drug levels in the blood and check for safety to see if liver disease changes how the drug works.
