New liver chemo pump study lets patients skip hospital trips
NCT ID NCT07201519
First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a chemotherapy pump placed in the liver's main blood vessel is safe and practical for people with colorectal cancer or bile duct cancer that has spread to the liver. About 80 participants will get the pump surgically implanted and then choose to have their pump refills at a local clinic or at the main hospital. The goal is to see if community-based care can work as well as hospital-based care for this treatment.
