Targeted radiation beads tested to fight liver cancer from rare eye melanoma

NCT ID NCT01473004

Summary

This study tested a targeted radiation treatment for patients whose eye melanoma had spread to the liver. Doctors injected tiny radioactive beads directly into the liver's blood vessels to try to shrink the tumors. The goal was to see if this approach was safe and effective at controlling the cancer's growth in the liver.
