Mouth-Delivered electromagnetic waves tested in battle against liver cancer

NCT ID NCT04327700

Summary

This study tested if adding a novel electromagnetic field treatment, delivered through the mouth, could improve outcomes for people with advanced liver cancer when used with the drug regorafenib. It aimed to see if this combination could help control the cancer longer than regorafenib alone typically does. The trial was for patients whose cancer had worsened after trying at least one other standard treatment. The study was terminated early after enrolling only two participants.
