New hope for tough liver cancer: boosting chemo before surgery

Summary

This study is testing if adding an immunotherapy drug called durvalumab to standard chemotherapy before surgery helps people with a high-risk type of liver cancer called cholangiocarcinoma. The goal is to shrink the tumor before the operation, potentially making surgery more successful and helping to control the cancer long-term. It is for adults with this specific cancer who are healthy enough for major surgery.
