Drug combo vs standard therapy: which works better for liver cancer?

NCT ID NCT04777851

Summary

This study aimed to compare two treatment approaches for intermediate-stage liver cancer that can't be cured surgically. It tested whether a combination of two cancer drugs (regorafenib and pembrolizumab) works better than standard liver-directed treatments (TACE or TARE). The trial was designed for about 500 patients but was stopped early after enrolling only 45 participants.
