Liver cancer patients: which drug works best after immunotherapy?
NCT ID NCT06117891
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This observational study follows 300 adults with advanced liver cancer that cannot be removed by surgery. All participants have already received a first-line immunotherapy combination (like atezolizumab plus bevacizumab). Researchers will collect data from routine care to see how well different second-line treatments work, focusing on how long patients live and how long their cancer is controlled. No extra visits or tests are required.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
What this could lead to
If successful, this study could help doctors choose the best second-line treatments for patients with advanced liver cancer after initial immunotherapy.
What could go wrong
This is an observational study, not a controlled trial, so it cannot prove cause and effect. Results may be influenced by patient differences and real-world variability.
