New machine treatment for donor livers aims to stop Cancer's return

Summary
This international study is testing if a new machine treatment for donor livers can help prevent liver cancer from coming back after a transplant. The machine, called HOPE, pumps a cold, oxygen-rich fluid through the liver before surgery. Researchers will compare this method to the standard cold storage technique in 220 patients to see which one leads to longer survival without cancer recurrence.
