Summary

This study looked at two different imaging tests—ultrasound every six months and MRI once a year—to see which is better at finding liver cancer early in people with liver cirrhosis. A total of 211 adults over age 40 with cirrhosis took part. The goal was to compare how well each test detects cancer and to reduce false alarms.
