New tool predicts liver cancer surgery survival odds
NCT ID NCT06294808
Summary
This study analyzed data from 1,043 patients who had surgery for liver cancer between 2000 and 2018. Researchers created a prediction tool to estimate 5-year survival chances based on tumor size, number, and blood test results. The study also compared outcomes between open and laparoscopic surgeries, and between cancers caused by viruses versus other causes.
