Computer models reveal different liver cancer risks for men vs. women

NCT ID NCT07386639

Summary

This study analyzed information from 19,019 liver cancer patients to understand if men and women have different risks of their cancer spreading. Researchers used national cancer database records and advanced computer programs to create separate prediction tools for each gender. The goal was to help doctors better estimate which patients might have cancer that has already spread at diagnosis, since liver cancer affects men and women differently.
