Scientists hunt for hidden genetic cause of mysterious liver cancers
NCT ID NCT07145385
Summary
This study aims to understand if a rare genetic condition called Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency is linked to liver cancer in patients who developed the cancer without cirrhosis or other known risk factors. Researchers will look back at medical data from 71 patients in France who fit this specific profile. The goal is to measure how common this genetic condition is in this group and see if it correlates with other patient and tumor characteristics.
