New combo therapy could help more liver cancer patients get transplants

NCT ID NCT07310836

First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study looks at whether combining local treatments (like radiation or chemo directly to the tumor) with targeted drugs and immunotherapy can shrink liver cancer enough for patients who don't currently qualify for a transplant. About 300 patients will be followed to see how many respond, how many get a transplant, and how long they live afterward. The goal is to offer a chance at transplant to more people with advanced liver cancer.
