Targeted chemo attack on liver tumors shows promise
NCT ID NCT00183885
Summary
This study tested a method of delivering two chemotherapy drugs directly into the liver's artery for people with liver cancer that cannot be removed by surgery. The main goals were to see how long it took for tumors to grow after treatment, monitor side effects, and measure how long patients lived. Researchers also collected blood and tumor samples to try to predict which patients would respond best to this therapy.
