Scientists zoom in on liver cancer with new microscope to unlock its secrets

NCT ID NCT06311396

Summary

This study aimed to better understand liver cancer by developing a new microscope tool to examine and manipulate individual cancer cells. Researchers collected tissue samples from 30 adults undergoing liver surgery to grow 3D cell models called organoids. The goal was to learn how cancer cells differ from healthy cells at a molecular level, which could inform future research and treatment development.
