New score aims to predict Life-or-Death for bleeding liver patients

Summary
This study aims to test a new scoring system, called the CAGIB score, to see if it can better predict which hospitalized patients with liver cirrhosis and severe gastrointestinal bleeding are most likely to die. It will compare this new score against two older, commonly used scoring systems. The study will observe 3,000 adult patients from multiple international hospitals to see which score most accurately forecasts death during the hospital stay.
