Rescue study asks: is it better to be carried upright?

NCT ID NCT07219290

Summary

This study aims to find out if a person's breathing is better when they are secured in a rescue litter that is vertical (upright) versus horizontal (lying flat). Researchers will measure lung function in 12 healthy volunteers placed in different litter positions. The goal is to gather information that could help improve patient care during difficult rescues from places like caves or cliffs.
