Summary
This study looked at whether lithium, a medication already used for mood disorders, could delay or prevent Alzheimer's in 83 older adults with mild cognitive impairment (MCI). Participants took lithium and were monitored with memory tests, brain scans, and blood markers over time. The goal was to see if lithium could protect the brain and slow down memory loss.
