Summary

This study looked at whether adding lithium to personalized maintenance electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) can prevent depression relapse in people who already responded well to ECT. 96 adults with major depressive disorder were followed for 6 months. The goal was to find a better way to keep depression from returning after successful ECT treatment.
