Simple blood test could replace painful biopsies for breast cancer patients
NCT ID NCT04480814
First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study tested a new blood test (liquid biopsy) to find cancer DNA in 30 women with advanced breast cancer. The goal was to see if the blood test works as well as a standard tissue biopsy to detect specific cancer markers. If successful, this could offer a less invasive way to monitor cancer over time.
