Researchers probe the Mind-Body link in lipedema pain
NCT ID NCT07240285
Summary
This study aimed to understand the relationship between pain, heightened pain sensitivity (central sensitization), and emotional factors like anxiety and depression in women with lipedema. Researchers compared 60 women with lipedema to healthy individuals, using questionnaires and pain sensitivity tests. The goal was to gather knowledge to potentially inform future treatments, not to test a new therapy.
