Scientists probe mysterious link between jaw and pelvic pain

NCT ID NCT07323797

Summary

This study aimed to understand if pain in the jaw joint (TMJ) is linked to pelvic pain in adults. Researchers wanted to see if shared factors like stress, anxiety, or how the nervous system processes pain might explain why some people have both conditions. 133 adults with chronic pain filled out one-time questionnaires about their pain, mental health, and quality of life. No treatments were tested; this was purely an observational study to gather information.
