New antibiotic challenge for safer surgeries
NCT ID NCT05571722
Summary
This study aims to find the better antibiotic for preventing infections at the surgical wound site. It will compare two drugs, linezolid and vancomycin, in over 1,100 patients who are allergic to standard antibiotics or at risk for a specific hard-to-treat bacteria. The goal is to see which medicine is more effective and easier to use safely before surgery.
