Summary
This study tested a drug called linaclotide in 19 children aged 6 months to under 2 years with functional constipation (hard, infrequent stools). The goal was to see if it safely improves bowel movements and reduces straining. Children took a liquid form of the drug daily for 4 weeks, and parents tracked symptoms. The study is complete, but results are not yet public.
