First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether a special light therapy can reduce skin damage caused by radiation treatment in women with breast cancer. 60 women who have had breast-conserving surgery and are scheduled for radiation will either receive standard skin care alone or standard care plus polarized light therapy. Researchers will measure skin thickness with ultrasound and check the severity of any rash using a standard scale.
