First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study tests whether a specific type of light therapy (810 nm) can reduce knee pain and swelling in people with chronic knee pain and synovitis (inflammation of the joint lining). About 80 adults aged 40-80 will receive either real light therapy or a sham treatment twice a week for five weeks. Researchers will measure pain, ultrasound signs of inflammation, and function up to six months after treatment.
