NCT ID NCT06984796
First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tests if shining a special light (photobiomodulation) on the cervix before inserting a copper IUD can lower pain. 72 women will either get real light or a fake treatment, and report their pain levels. If it works, this simple, drug-free method could help more women choose long-term birth control without fear of pain.
