Can special hospital lighting calm confused ICU patients?

NCT ID NCT05807178

Summary

This study is testing whether special dynamic lighting can help stabilize the natural sleep-wake cycles of patients experiencing delirium in the intensive care unit (ICU). Researchers will compare this light therapy to standard hospital lighting in 40 patients to see if it improves biological rhythms and reduces delirium symptoms. The goal is to find a simple, non-drug approach to help critically ill patients feel more oriented and comfortable.
