Light beam tested to heal diabetic foot wounds
NCT ID NCT06416462
Summary
This study tested if a special light treatment, called antimicrobial photodynamic therapy (aPDT), helps heal diabetic foot ulcers better than standard care alone. It involved 94 people with diabetic foot wounds. One group received the light therapy along with standard wound care, while the other group received only standard care with a fake light treatment to compare results.
