Blue light zaps burn bacteria in new trial

NCT ID NCT07494773

Summary

This study is testing a new way to fight infections in burn wounds without using antibiotics. Researchers will apply a special blue dye to the burn and then shine a blue light on it to try to kill bacteria. The goal is to see if this light therapy is safe and helps reduce germs better than light alone in 50 adults with burns.
