First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study tests whether shining a special light on the head (called photobiomodulation) can quickly improve balance and thinking in people with ataxia, a condition that affects coordination. Twenty adults with ataxia will receive either real or fake light treatment in random order. The goal is to see if this safe, non-invasive approach can help with daily activities.
