Could a light helmet slow Alzheimer's? major trial seeks answers
NCT ID NCT07262645
Summary
This large, late-stage study is testing whether a device that shines near-infrared light on the head can help slow the progression of Alzheimer's disease. About 320 people with mild to moderate Alzheimer's will use the device or a look-alike 'sham' device at home for 26 weeks. Researchers will measure changes in memory, thinking, and daily function to see if the light therapy makes a meaningful difference.
