First seen Dec 08, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This early study is testing whether a gentle form of ultrasound, called LIFU, can safely stimulate the brain in people with mild cognitive impairment caused by Alzheimer's disease. Fifteen volunteers aged 45-85 will receive the treatment and be monitored for side effects and any changes in memory and thinking. The goal is to see if this non-invasive approach is safe and might help improve brain function.
