Summary
This study tested a personalized diet and exercise program designed for Hispanic women who were overweight or obese at the start of their pregnancy. The goal was to help them gain a healthy amount of weight during pregnancy, lose weight after giving birth, and improve their body's metabolism to lower the risk of diabetes. Researchers compared the results of 232 women who received the special program to those who received general health information.
