Summary

This study tested whether starting a lifestyle program before pregnancy can improve health in obese women and their babies. Researchers enrolled 99 women who had a previous full-term pregnancy and were planning another within two years. The program focused on diet and exercise to reduce body fat and improve metabolism, with the goal of lowering baby fat at birth and breaking the cycle of obesity.
