Summary
This study aimed to understand the long-term quality of life and mental health of people who survived a cardiac arrest outside the hospital. Researchers followed 74 patients who were saved using a special advanced life support machine (called eCPR or ECMO). They used surveys and interviews to learn about survivors' physical, mental, and social well-being after leaving the hospital.
