NCT ID NCT05667987

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether adding lidocaine to standard anesthesia can lower the risk of pancreatitis after ERCP, a common bile duct procedure. About 1800 adults will be split into two groups: one receiving lidocaine and one not. The main goal is to see if lidocaine reduces pancreatitis cases, measured by blood lipase levels.
