Numbing patch could ease pain after wisdom tooth surgery

Summary
This study tests whether a lidocaine patch placed in the mouth can reduce pain after removing an impacted wisdom tooth. About 21 adults will receive either the lidocaine patch or a placebo patch after surgery. Pain, swelling, and mouth opening will be checked on days 1, 3, and 7 after the procedure.
