Can a simple anesthetic make fibroid surgery recovery less painful?

Summary
This study looks at whether using lidocaine (a numbing medicine) as a spray inside the belly plus an IV drip can reduce pain after laparoscopic fibroid removal. About 100 adults having this surgery will take part. The goal is to see if this approach lowers the chance of moderate to severe pain in the first 24 hours after surgery.
