Can a simple numbing drug ease coughing during heart procedures?

Summary
This study tests whether a numbing medicine called lidocaine can reduce diaphragm twitching and coughing during a heart procedure called pulsed field ablation for atrial fibrillation. About 60 adults with AFib will receive lidocaine or a placebo during the procedure. The goal is to make the treatment smoother and more comfortable.
