First human tests begin for new arthritis injection

Summary
This is a very early study to check the safety and basic effects of a new drug called LFD-200, given as a weekly injection. It will first test single and multiple doses in healthy volunteers, then test multiple weekly doses in people with moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis. The main goal is to see how safe the drug is and how the body processes it, not to prove it treats arthritis effectively yet.
