First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study tests a decision support tool that uses early blood tests to predict the best dose of levothyroxine (thyroid hormone) after thyroid removal surgery. Normally, finding the right dose takes months of trial and error. The tool aims to get patients to the correct dose faster, which may improve their symptoms and quality of life. About 240 adults who had their thyroid removed for cancer or benign nodules will take part.
