Drug injection puts brakes on childhood puberty
NCT ID NCT05341115
Summary
This study tested how well and how safely a medication called leuprorelin works for children with central precocious puberty, a condition where puberty starts unusually early. About 80 children in China received an injection every 12 weeks for 6 months. The goal was to see if the treatment could safely pause the physical changes of puberty and slow down rapid bone aging.
