Scientists test new combo against tough blood cancers
NCT ID NCT02381548
Summary
This early-stage study tested a combination of two drugs, AZD1775 and belinostat, for patients with advanced blood cancers like acute myeloid leukemia (AML) that have returned or not responded to prior treatments. The main goal was to find the safest and most effective dose of the drug pair and to understand their side effects. The study involved 20 participants and was designed to see if the drugs could work together to stop cancer cell growth.
