Can writing kind letters to yourself help heal eating disorders?
NCT ID NCT04174703
Summary
This study is testing if a short, self-guided exercise can help people prepare for eating disorder treatment. About 160 people waiting to start a treatment program will either write compassionate letters to themselves for two weeks or be in a control group. Researchers want to see if this simple activity reduces feelings of shame and increases self-compassion, potentially leading to better treatment outcomes.
