First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 11, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tests whether the drug letermovir can prevent cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection from coming back in kidney or kidney/pancreas transplant patients at high risk. About 90 adults who have already had a CMV infection will take letermovir for about 6 months. The goal is to see if it reduces the number of times the virus returns and the need for other treatments.
