New surgical technique aims to ease pain after weight loss surgery
NCT ID NCT07119437
Summary
This study is testing a gentler version of 'keyhole' surgery for weight loss to see if it causes less pain and helps patients breathe better after the operation. Researchers will compare this new method, which uses lower air pressure and smaller cuts, to the standard surgical technique in 128 people with obesity. The main goal is to see if patients feel less pain and recover their lung function faster with the gentler approach.
