Summary
This study tested a new treatment for advanced melanoma that had stopped responding to standard immunotherapy. Researchers injected a modified, harmless polio virus directly into patients' tumors to see if it could help the immune system fight the cancer. The trial compared the virus injection alone to the injection combined with a standard immunotherapy drug.
