Drug-Coated balloon trial aims to keep leg arteries open longer

NCT ID NCT04971772

Summary

This study is testing a special balloon coated with a drug (Legflow DCB) against a standard balloon to see which is better at treating narrowed or blocked arteries in the thigh and knee. It involves 150 adults with painful leg cramps when walking due to poor circulation. The main goal is to see if the drug-coated balloon keeps the artery open longer, reducing the need for another procedure within a year.
